After approximately ten years of various attempts, I accepted the fact that Barbra was too far removed and shielded for a small town boy from North Dakota to ever get close enough to grasp. And when that dream died, so did my inspiration to paint or draw her all too familiar features.

It was 1985 when I created my final Streisand portrait which was essentially an exercise to revamp The Celebrity Series into quick and colorful renditions based upon the very same concept.

And yet, it was the original Celebrity Series which brought about my first real break in the art world and although Barbra never had the opportunity to view any of my work, nor contributed to its success, I do have to pay homage to the woman with that voice and oh those eyes and the many gifts she did provide.

But, as she and Donna Summer so aptly stated, "Enough is Enough".
